What does this free check do?

The checker reviews a public Apple App Store page or manually entered listing copy for missing fields, character limits, unclear claims, wrong-platform references, and suspicious URLs. It only evaluates the supplied listing data and never accesses project files or private store accounts.

When to use it

Run the check before creating a listing, after a major feature change, or when old copy has survived several releases. Descriptions often retain outdated promises, unsupported devices, or links that no longer work on mobile.

The public mode is useful for an already released iOS app. For an unreleased version, paste the name, subtitle, description, keywords, and URLs so editorial work can start before the store record is complete.

How to interpret a match

A match is a concrete review prompt, not a rejection prediction. A character-limit violation is deterministic. A claim such as “completely secure” needs context, current-build evidence, and consistency with screenshots and privacy disclosures.

Fix hard contradictions and missing required data first. Improve clarity and search language second. ASO must never make the page promise more than the submitted app delivers.

What belongs together

Name, subtitle, short description, full description, and keywords have different jobs. Support, privacy, and marketing URLs must be public and describe the same product. Screenshots belong to the same truth check even when this tool cannot inspect every visual claim.

Review every locale independently. A valid English page does not prove that French or Italian copy is complete, current, or culturally appropriate.

Privacy and the next step

No account is required for manual copy. Public listing data is already visible in the store, and pasted drafts are not retained permanently for the quick check. Remove internal notes, review credentials, and secrets anyway.

The complete LaunchLint review connects listing claims to permissions, SDKs, sign-in, purchases, deletion, and project files. That cross-check remains outside this free single-input tool.

A practical example

Input
Description: “The safest fitness app. Works entirely offline.” Support URL: an unreachable test domain.
Result
The checker flags the unsupported superlative, the potentially contradictory offline claim, and the unavailable support URL. The release build and project files must prove the real behavior.
